Unfair festival holiday

Why Hari Raya Puasa entitled one week plus holiday while Deepavali just 1 day?

Has anyone argue about this on paper? I am dissapointed with our community that gives too much priority to the "Majority"... That's the answer I got actually. Just becoz we are minority and everything can be put aside.

We lose our right and fairness to be treated equally in the society. Hey, non-muslim, do u awake about this?

Actually, to keep everybody happy, that's easy, announce la... holiday on friday and replace on other day... give one day extra people will be happy. Why are those people so ..stingy...?!?

Is this the democratic society? I thought democratic means the people themselves control their own community. After 50 years, we'd lost our way and right and yet we keep quiet. When we think of our family planning, we don't want more children, more is for burden. That's why we become minority.

Could u just imagine what happend to our children and our generation?

	lhfoo @ Tue 20-11-07 01:37PM Looking at the bright side: 1) At least got long holiday during raya ... not too bad a deal too. 2) Total number of public holiday in govt service is a lot more than in private service.

Sometimes, when we take some action, we can cheer up some people. In this case, I can only see that people are getting piss off with the unfair environment.

	mmcat @ Sun 11-11-07 09:36PM So, normally smart teacher will take m.c. rather than taking the unfair leave. What I meant by unfair is, new year celebration for 3 main races in M'sia should be standardize. If HARI RAYA can have 1 week extra and replace on other Sat. Why can't Deepavali and CNY also take 3 days replacement holiday? ......*****U will only understand the feeling of the non-muslim when u work in a muslim community/company.

Teachers will get their special incentives to convert their annual leave into $$$ while pencen. The max. is 120 days only.So, if those senior teachers have less than 17 years service and they want to take leave....They will have to cut their pay when they take the annual leave. FYI, the leave is worth the rate of the last month salary of pencen, U KNOW??
