Bringing 2 yrs old toddler for Island hopping and snorkelling? no problem.

Carol got her first experience on speedboat riding, island hopping, swimming for whole day...they had fun!!

Darius was a bit frightened. After standing by the seaside for hours, I carried him to the sea and played around. Singing and turn around as the rhymes went on.

On the second day, when we went Island hopping, they were more steady and enjoyed themselves swimming in Pulau Bunting Children Pool (lake).

Anyhow, my arms were sore and I was tired for 3 days after home.

My programme quite full in this holiday. Right after from Langkawi, I started swimming lessons with kids(5-9yrs old) in country club. I am now darker and somehow ugly.

For the following week, I will be busy baking and prepared for some CNY cookies.

Teresa: Our pet

We had been growing up a caterpillar to butterfly for 2 months ago.

From a tiny brown worm, then turn to green caterpillar. After eating so much kari leaves and lemon leaves, finally it turned into a pupa. For about 10 days, a beautiful butterfly resting in our container.

Anyhow, the first experience was a good lesson. Without any support, the butterfly became handicap. the wings can't flip and the butterfly died after a day of 24 hours. Sad!

The second time, we rolled in some net material as support. This time, two butterflies were successfully grown. We support them with some flowers in the aquarium. They had been staying with us through out the weekends.

Just Monday, I gave them freedom to join their friends in the school butterfly farm.

I feel glad to support this tiny caterpillar and turn them into butterfly. It was amazing! Anyone wants to try out? I have many at home.

That was the first birthday we celebrated in a grand restaurant in Bayan Lepas.

We brought Darius along. After that, he was sick for a week, just recovered from his high fever yesterday. I hope he is fine...and Carol too... she is having diarrhea badly.

Kids are fun?! No..... I really lose control every time I hear them yelling n crying. For me, school children already made me tired after a day of work.
Teresa: ROM Anniversary

31 Dec 2001 was the date of our ROM. For the first time, we celebrated with my godparents and families. (many of them are not coming back for CNY)

We departed about 11am and reached Kek Lok Si. Carol had a wonderful time walking around for the first time in her life. Of coz, we din't forget to have some Laksa there.

Then, heading to McDonald at Gurney Drive for lunch n break. Children enjoyed their meal with fries.... Parents enjoy to have a free vanilla cone/ extra fries as we joined the Kids Club!! :D

After that, we went to Botanical garden. A funny scene was..... a monkey was peeling off the tissue when it was licking and eating a cone of ice cream. I think ddcat recorded it!

Time flies and it was 5pm. We drove off to Teluk Kumbar for seafood. It was a romantic beach with nice view of sunset.

Teresa: Homemade playdough

For my holiday, I plan to play with some dough. At first, thinking of learning some sculpture decoration that I can apply on my cake/cuppies. Then, I wasted RM20 to give myself a lesson on trying to make marzipan. Fail! And then, cari-cari any other thing can replace bo...

One night, my mom in law showed me her homemade edible play dough. Then, I started surfing some craft thing for my son. Of coz this play dough can not be used as cake decoration items even it's edible.

Anyhow, I had one in my mind on frosting my cupcakes by not using creamy frosting. Normally people don't like to eat the cream on top of the cake. Wasted my effort if they don't eat the frosting that I made purposely. Hmm....watch out mycookingdiary. Cuppies coming soon.....

Ooh...before I forget. For anyone here with children, may be u would like to try the homemade playdough. try this link : edible_play_dough

Hope your children will love them.

Tips for mama: If u want to add in colour, drop a little in the boiling water before u add in flour and tartar. Then, u can save energy to knead the dough with colour later on.

Teresa: Kids are really lucky~!

Let's recommend this pull up curtain with cute cartoon. I think most of the kids/parents will like it.

Recently we bought one to put in our children's bedroom. Finally they can stay in their own room. As parents, we feel uncomfortable pulak! We are afraid that we can't hear them when they cry at night. Shh....(Normally they will sleep through the whole night.)

Baby sister still refused to walk by her own in her 13 mths. But she is very active and she can even climb up her brother's bed then jump together.

Carol started some bubble talk, unexpectedly one day when we taught her that the pooh is actually a bear, she pronounced "bear" very clear repeating.

May be she learns to talk faster than she walks.

Hooray!!

Ddcat and I love cream puff but we rarely buy. : )

Few days ago, when I had lunch with collegue at a bakery cafe, I found out this small cream puff sold 60sen now a day.

Back home, I tried the 6th times, yesterday.....FAIL....

This morning, I tried to surf other recipe from the internet. BINGO!!

Here's the recipe to share:

1. beat 3 eggs with mixer till fluffy

2. 1 cup water + half cup butter(melt after measure) ---->bring to boil...got bubbles one...

3. Then quickly pour no. 2. into 1 cup high protein flour and stir with spatula...

4. After that, pour into the other 3 eggs that are ready beaten at the very beginning.

5. Switch on the mixer and mix all well for a minute.

6.
